As a Red Sox fan this one hits a sour spot as Youkilis was a big piece in the winning two World Series in the early 2000s. A few days back the Red Sox clubhouse made it known that Youkilis would lose playing time to emerging rookie Will Middlebrooks who is sporting a batting average of .338 his first year in the MLB.
